Welcome to 4th Grade!
4th grade is a big deal. You are growing up and that means your "job" as student will change. You'll have more freedom than you did in the past but, you'll also have more responsibilities. This year, YOU choose your level of success.
4th Grade Responsibilities:
1. Arrive to school on time every day
2. Know your class schedule and bring the correct materials to class
3. Use the bathroom between classes, at lunch, or at recess rather than leaving during class
4. Keep your locker clean and learning areas neat and clean
5. Write assignments in your student planner every day
6. Put your papers away properly so you don't lose them
7. Complete all class and homework
8. Hand in lunch money, notes from parents, forms, etc.
9. When asked to give something to your parents, do so immediately
10. STUDY for quizzes and tests at home
11. Be ready to your work more independently
12. Treat adults and fellow students with kindness and respect
13. Communicate with your teachers so they know what to do to ensure your success
4th Grade Perks:
1. A locker
2. You rotate classrooms and have different teachers for each subject
3. You are on a team of 90-100 = more potential friends!
4. DAIS Encores: art, music, gym, health, technology, and library
5. Numerous breakfast and lunch choices every day
6. DAIS is a new school so everything is clean and state of the art
7. Chrome books!
8. 8:20 start time = you may get to sleep in a little more than you did for elementary school
9. Gym class 3 times a week!
10. DAIS library that is full of the current and popular books that you want to read
11. You become part of Mrs. Corwin's "family"
12. You're part of the blue unity community - the BEST one at DAIS!
13. You're growing up so your parents and teachers give you more trust and freedom
